It seems there are a lot of changes happening in our town this year and we are not immune. As of September 1, The Creative Oasis Inc will be closing its gallery and studio space. We struggled with the decision, but in the end, it is not financially viable to continue to operate our 6000 square foot Visual Arts Studio.
It is currently unclear what the future holds for the organization itself. Our short-term plan is to maintain our name and non-profit status; we may find a way to continue offering children's classes on a limited basis somehow. We're also looking at having other community-minded organizations and individuals take over the organization and run it as they see fit. We are keeping our options open.
However, we still have a lot of debt to pay off, so I am asking you to consider a donation to The Creative Oasis. Donations are still tax deductable, and our future will be determined by how much money we can raise; we hope to raise $20,000.

We will be ceasing normal operations as of September 1, 2010. We will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-9 pm until the end of September for members who need to finish work
We will be selling off all of our fixtures and equipment. Please check back here for details later in the month; or email us to be put on an announcement list.
Let me finish by saying thank you. We could not have come this far without all of you; volunteers, teachers, artists, supporters, customers and students. We consider you family. This has been a fun, intense, educational, and rewarding experience for all of us over the years at The Creative Oasis.
