ladies night: multiple mediums An introduction to pottery and the wheel, fused glass, scrapbooking and watercolors. Rather than focus on one medium, this class surveys them all. REGISTER FOR THIS CLASS. drawing techniques/acrylics & watercolors This 12 hour course explores art of drawing with an aim to familiarize students with different mediums, styles and techniques and to explore the potentials possible in watercolor and acrylic painting, exploring color theory, line and shadow, and composition, with an aim to familiarize students with different styles and techniques. Watercolor paints and pencils, pen & ink, pastel, and charcoal pencil are all options. Subjects matter ranges from portraiture, still life, and landscape, with an emphasis on form, line & shadow, and composition. It is an excellent introductory class for the absolute beginner, with more challenging potentials for the intermediate artist. Includes studio time. Saturday 11-1pm. Basic materials included. Line and shape, light and shadow, and proportion will all be explored. Students have the option of working sculpturally, with drawing, and/or with paints.
