Beginner Wheel Pottery 

Mondays 7-9 pm,  March 15-April 19, 2010

This 6 week course teaches the basics of wheel throwing, allowing you to become comfortable with

the technique and produce finished pieces. Classes will teach fundamentals like wedging, centering, throwing, finishing, trimming, and glazing. Includes studio time and class clay; firing fees extra.

This 12 hour class is for those who are comfortable with the basic fundamentals and want to take their skills to the next level. Beginning with sets, the class moves on to explore altering and finishes with glaze mixing, and the production of multiple piece items--like teapots--and their assembly.  Includes studio time and class clay; firing fees extra.

Fused Glass

Monday 7-9 pm

A six week beginner’s class in fusing glass- that is, bonding different types of glass in a kiln to make beautiful, unique jewelry and decorations. No previous arts and crafts experience will be necessary to create earrings, pins, pendants, barrettes, tie-tacs, cuff links, suncatchers or night lights. A great way to provide wonderful gifts for friends and family. Includes studio time and access to tools and supplies.  Basic materials included; firing fees and some glass extra.

Mosaic Art

Tuesday, 7-9, March 16- April 20, 2010

This 12 hour session will teach you the basics of mosaic art.  Students will learn to cut, shape, adhere and grout ceramic tiles.  We will also go over design elements, mosaic styles and finishing techniques.  Each student will complete one small project.  Class includes 15 hours of additional studio time.  $100, plus $10 material fee; Jay Reese instructor.
