You probably know us as your local art studio, the place where your kids attend Summer Art Camp and come home exhausted, smiling and covered in clay or paint.  You yourself may have taken a class with us. or simply used our facility as space to work.  You may have shopped in our gallery for a piece of locally produced art.

What you may not know is that all of our staff and most of our teachers are volunteers.  They offer many hours of service simply because they love to teach and want to support the mission of our public art studio in the hear of downtown State College.

You may not know that we host free special needs classes, or that we offer full youth camp registrations (each one a $440 value) and free adult class registrations through sponsoring charitable organizations.  We work hard to ensure that everyone in our community can access the arts, regardless of age, mobility or income.

You may not know that since we opened our doors in 1998, The Creative Oasis has helped to give over 1,000 children in the Centre region a richer arts education.  You also may not know that we are the largest public non-profit art studio in Centre County.

And we do it all on a budget that barely reaches $75,000.

Although registrations for classes, workshops and memberships make up much of our income, we are supported in large part by your generous tax-deductible contributions.  The need for extra funds for capital improvements is growing as much of our equipment is as old as we are!

The Creative Oasis is 501 C3 nonprofit organization. Gifts to TCO are deductible for income tax purposes under section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. Upon receipt of your gift, TCO will mail an acknowledgement for donations of amounts $20.00 and over. An acknowledgement of non cash item donations will be provided upon request with an estimated value of the donation. Name and address information is needed to mail the acknowledgement.
