Facilities

The Creative Oasis has over 6,000 square feet of gallery, classroom and studio space at it's disposal.  We are the largest public non-profit art studio in Centre County!

Our "Art Underground" gallery is filled with beautiful artwork from dozens of local artists. Much of the gallery is dedicated to pottery, but you'll also find stained and fused glass, photography, jewelry, sculpture and a constantly changing display of exhibiting artists.

Behind the gallery lies over 4,000 square feet of studio and classroom space. This is where all the magic happens: summer art camps, adult classes, individual instruction and special workshops. This is also where many professional artists and amateur clay enthusiasts rent studio space.

For the ceramic artist, we have 11 wheels, two handbuilding tables, a large slab roller, 2 kilns, a dedicated glaze area, a pugmill for reclaim and all the tools, sponges, buckets, bats and aprons you'll need.

For the glass artist, we have a glass kiln, soldering irons, grinders, cutters and all the small tools you'll need to create fused and stained glass projects. Some supplies are also available from the instructors.

We also have a black and white photographic darkroom equipped with all you need to develop negatives and prints. Chemicals must be provided by the artist for all projects done outside of class.

Semi-private studio space is also available for rent on a monthly basis.
