scholarships...
Thanks to a generous grant from the Centre County Community Foundation, the Creative Oasis will be expanding its scholarship program over the next year. The following paragraphs explain how are scholarship program works, who may benefit, and the application process. The Creative Oasis awards space in classes (adult and children) and camps to organizations who serve the public interest, particularly those organizations who identify and serve the less fortunate. In turn, it is the responsibility of those organizations to award the scholarships to the most deserving individuals in the community. Organizations who have been awarded scholarships in the past include: Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Women's Resource Center, CALL, and Galaxy. The Creative Oasis can award a scholarship for each class or camp that runs (i.e., every class or camp where normal enrollment is sufficient). As such scholarships become available, we will award them to the applying organizations. Individuals who wish to receive dispensation of such scholarships should encourage the organizations with whom they work to contact the Creative Oasis.
Organizations wishing to apply should do so by submitting a brief (50 to 100 word) mission statement, proof or IRS 501-c(3) status (if applicable), and contact information to:
